The watery show will be expanded
JESC: A bigger splash for CH!PZ
The 2007 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will feature a large water curtain made up by thousands of litres of H2O. Under it, more than 40 dancers and drummers will accompany the Dutch young band CH!PZ in their splashy show performance.
The special act Make a big splash could become the sensation of this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Since the first rehearsals, CH!PZ's show proved itself as a very potent and spectacular act. This is the reason why the organisers, EBU and the host broadcaster AVRO, decided to give it more room during the gala next December 8th in the Ahoy Arena, in Rotterdam.
This big excitement is also shared by the members of CH!PZ, who are constantly rehearsing since yesterday, December 4th. One of them, Rach-L, stated that they feel "honoured to have been asked to create the theme song specially for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest". She added that they "sympathise with all the contestants and hope that ‘Make A Big Splash!’ will hearten all the children."
The act was choreographed by Gerald van Windt who was also responsible for Edsilia Rombley’s routine during the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki.
