Interview: Paula Seling speaks to esctoday.com

Paula Seling speaks to esctoday.com following her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. Paula explains her future plans with Ovi who performed with her on stage in Oslo. Paula and Ovi are currently working on an album that will include their Eurovision entry that gave them a respectable third place.

The Romanian representative spoke about her experience in the Eurovision Song Contest. Asked about the good result she and Ovi obtained in Oslo she said that she was fully concentrated on the competition. She explained how the idea of the double piano used on stage came up. When asked if she considers returning to the contest, Paula said that it is not easy to find another song that over whelms the last entry. She felt that artists like her, who already went on the Eurovision stage, must give a chance to other good Romanian artists.

In the interview Paula Seling mentioned the awards she won in many prestigious festivals including the Cerbul de Aur (Golden Stag Festival) held every year in Brasov, Romania. This festival is considered to be the second largest festival organised in Europe. The Romanian beauty also had the opportunity to sing with the Italian popular singer Albano.

Next week Paula Seling will travel to Germany to continue to work on the upcoming album. Watch the interview recorded in the studio where she recorded the vocals of the song Playing With Fire. A special thanks to Charlo Lautier for filming this interview.

@Avat

You are right! Unfortunately, regarding Switzerland, you'll do bad in Eurovision using such a model ;) Everybody hates Switzerland, apparently

well , will see what happens then, but I have the feeling that despite your sometimes hard comments and your pro-armenia point of view, you have a kind of love for everyone here, as I do myself, with everyone: Marko, Sara, Togravus, Shevek etc, otherwise, who would you direct your comments to?!, love you too! paul cl

lol, i remember hating this entry when it first won the national final. I just couldn't get what everyone liked about it for some reason.

But once the official video came out (which was one of the best btw), everything changed and i really began to like it. Now, after the contest itself, i'd probably place it in or around my top 10 favourites for this year.

This was the first year that i followed all the national finals, from December right through to March and then the contest itself. And if there's one thing i've learnt from it, it's that i shouldn't judge a song on its first listen. Many of the songs i disliked initially (Ukraine's another one) have now become some of my favourite songs from this year's contest.

p.s. The best material of different classes in europe it's the film Mayrig (Mother) is a 1991 semi-autobiographical film written and directed by French-Armenian filmmaker Henri Verneuil. The film's principal cast includes Claudia Cardinale and Omar Sharif. It is about the struggles of an Armenian family that emigrates to France /autobiogrophy/. Really advise to whatch in which conditions people appear in strange country and culture. And how hard they raise and become Charles Aznavours or Henri Verneuils.

what is that about a "troll"? and how to recognise one?
què és això? !
well Romania 2010 was overrated IMO, but I am sure Romania will win ESC very soon thanks to tacky song/neighbour/rumanians abroad voting...!

I will look for Irish-Gipsy connections in enyclopedias!!! I like to study such things!
About classes I know, even in ESC and esctoday I found out that there are a lot of borders in europe and in the heads of people, it's pity!!! And I don't want my country to be a part of a new empire, always such empire collaps and wars and crisises start, for me the best model is Switzerland - neutrality, unfortunatly it will be hard, but it's possible!

Don't talk to CC Catch.
It's simply an student troll with the only occupation of show how a simple piece of meat he is.
Rest of the members agreed on boycott him like Rost or other trolls.
Thanks!

@CC Catch
Yes, it was the majority who placed Paula & Ovi 6th, but this is just a half of the votes. It's so hard to accept that? It doesn't make sense to have a jury of 100,000 members, does it? Anyway, it seems that both of us lose our time here, I can't help you if you don't understand simple things or hate juries so much.

@Avat armenia
well believe me, half of Irish population is from gypsy origins, and proud of it too, my great, great grandfather was called a "tinker" I mean a gypsy who went around villages, selling and sharpening knives etc,
as for gypsies today, well imagine one day that Armenia becomes part of EU, so u would be a citizen of the EU and officially have the same rights, so me and u (I have British citizenship), would supposedly have the same rights as EU citizens, but unfortunately it doesn't work like that...there is a first class, second class system working and , despite all the problems in certain countries, we would never be "equal" in terms of EU rights...

I've got gypsy blood myself (Irish)

I thought I knew a lot about ethnogeneses of people, but didn't know that Saint Patric's people have a connection with gipsies! :D
