Safura to sing Drip drop in Oslo
Safura was chosen as Azerbaijan's entrant for Eurovision 2010 back on March 2nd. The jury preferred her over Milk & Kisses and Maryam Shabanova, but were not sure about what song to send to Oslo. Ictimai TV has officially confirmed today that Drip drop will be their entry next May. Drip drop has been written by Stefan Örn and Sandra Bjurman.
esctoday.com national final awards 2010
The 2010 esctoday.com National Final Awards will be held between April and May, which means between the national final season and the Eurovision Song Contest. We will repeat the same format with two rounds for nominations which was used this year - you can read how it works here. However, this time the individual polls for each country will always be held right after the national final, when the entries are still fresh. You can vote for your favourite performance not to qualify in the Azerbaijani national final here and for your favourite song not to qualify here.

NOTHING SPECIAL!
2 POINTS

No it was not TImbaland. It was done by Niklas Flyckt, who received a Grammy Award for his work on Britney Spears’s Toxic. He also worked with artists like Madonna, Celine Dion, Backstreet Boys and many others.
OMG what an awful song, and Safuras english is as bad , as Ruslanas in 2004 . Dont think this will make it to the final.
OMG this girl's English accent makes Svetlana Loboda's accent sound like she was a Cambridge graduate!!!
When do non native-English language countries learn that unless your contestant can, at least, sing in basic English, you do not expose him, and the country, to an international audience!!!
I couldn't understand a word of what she was singing.... dreadful!
BAD........
Its very bad done from the esctoday.com.. they should put the new version of this song here, as they have renewed the song.. I love this song, cant stop listening to it..totally addicted. This one will end at least in 3rd place in Oslo..
Other good songs are from: Slovakia, Armenia, Spain, Germany... (in random order)
After reading some of the comments I was expecting Safura's performance and accent to be really really awful... well, neither the accent nor the performance are as bad as some people seem to think. They surely need work, but there's still time for that. This is no doubt a qualifier, but i'm not sure how well it'll do in the final.
I had hated Elmir & Sanur and thought Aysel & Arash were just ok. So, to me this is Azerbeijan's best effort so far.
Oh dear, another awful 2010 entry. Her voice just sounds painful, and the song is bland and boring. Sorry Azerbaijan!
hahahah yes you all love drip drop... thats why the 0% in points leads in the poll in here.... coz you love it too much
I like the song but I think she kind of screams too much!
Good choice overall...I can't see it as a winner but surely for me it should get to the final!
Good luck Azerbaijan!
drip, drip, drip....and drop down the drain!
Its got that Rihanna Umbrella feel to it....??
@ernst trollmann
Of course you think so because you are Armenian, it's normal that someone supports her/his country!
And actually I don't answer to trolls also, but to such interesting trolls like you I can't help myself!
@Orkhan
Ben hic bir zaman böyle bir sey demedim, eger söylediysem kanitla!
@ernst trollmann
Yeah, Safura acts like a bimbo than a singer, and Eva Rivas acts like a talented & superb singer! LOL
The video in this article is from Azeri NF where she sang it really bad. She works a lot on her English accent, performance, choreography and image. The last version of the song is here: http://www.youtube.c(...)/watch?v=tIx_vrhq1lU
Azerbaijan has as much chance of winning with this as Jennifer Lopez has of winning a tiny bottom competition ......
Under my skin was imo the best one.. , I also like Drip drop.. but she ruined the whole thing.. i hate her "lovely singing voice".. coldn't listen ... i got a headache at 0:45..
And what da f is wrong with her.. why would she pull that ridiculous balletdrees on anyway?
Conclusion... there is nothing about Azerbaijan in this song .. commercial crap..
REALITY CHECK:
She cant sing
She looks uncomfortable
She is overhyped just because she is representing Azeri and she has a good PR machine. Will people buy through it? Dont think so
Too many ballads this year, and this is not one of the best.
boooooooooooooooring
Good but not the best song...
I adore the song.Safura will shine on the stage
Wauw, I really like her performance here:

12 points from the Netherlands !
I can 'always'
rely on Azerbaijan for a good song.
PAU I made my translation don't worry...
I thought we had to speak in English here... By the way, bad choose Azerbaijan.
Modern song with a good singer. She will do well with this.
