A bad singer with a silly song would have got nowhere in this contest 20 years ago. It is just ridiculous that some countries can send absolutely anything and be guaranteed a good result.

Let me refresh your memory.

"Nel blu dipinto di blu" also known as "Volare" is the silliest ever song on earth! It has won ESC in 1958 ... and was translated in many languages and reached the top of the charts all over the world...

In 1977, Marie Myriam of France has won ESC with "The bird and the child" song. Enjoy it ;)

Like a child with eyes full of light
That sees the birds passing by in the distance
Like the blue bird flying over the earth
See how beautiful the world... the world is

Beautiful is the boat, dancing on the waves
Wild of life, love and wind
Beautiful is the song, coming from the waves
Abandoned to the white sand

If this is not silly... what's silly then?

And there are many other examples in ESC ;)

@Goran,
Tree planting is more childish "marketing" campaign than a political message.

Besides, in terms of democracy and freedom, your country isn't the best example either. So, as we say ... you see the straw in the eyes of others and do not see the beam that is before your eye ;)

@Lina,
Last year Armenia didn't get much high ranks from Greece and Cyprus. It's never automatic, right ? Ogae Cyprus or your TV channel should invite her... and I'm sure she'll be there. And I hope Cyprus will perform in Yerevan ;)

I m sure that she will ignore Cyprus since Armenians knows that they will get votes from here :S

I think this song is excellent, one of the best so far. Very catchy and probably stands a very good chance of doing well in the final.

Planting a tree in every country... ha ha ha.. what a disgusting joke.

Strangely enough, people from non-democratic and non-free countries are always first to demonstrate messagess of (what they think is) freedom and unity among nations.

It is nothing more then political propaganda, and politics should not have its place at ESC.
I am sure that most of the people in Europe will see right through this paphetic attempt to use ESC for their own political propaganda.

@Mirey M

I have nothing against her supporting Armenia, but I don't liked her comments about Azerbaijan & Turkey's exchanging 12 points to each other! :SAnd I'm really sorry if I hurted or angered u! Can we finally stop this argument now?

Mirey M [53621]
Wed 3 Mar 2010 17:57:18

Yes, I do.
Hope you will stop it!!! :(
Btw, What's wrong that she support us armenians? :P ;)
