Tour in Ukraine with 36 concerts

Lithuania: Sasha Song duet with Svetlana Loboda

Sasha Son didn't manage to have a good result in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 but he managed to get in touch with several producers from the Eastern Europe. The biggest interest in Sasha comes from Ukraine. Sasha Son plans to record a duet with Ukrainian representative Svetlana Loboda. Also he was invited to have a concert tour in Ukraine with a total of 36 concerts.

The song that will be recorded by Sasha Son and Svetlana is called Ne ne ne and is written by Sasha himself. At the moment the song's demo version is being recorded in London. "It's the biggest achievement so far. The organisators of the concert tour have done an interrogatory on the radio asking people who do they want to see in the tour. Many ukrainians were asking for Sasha, which means we are known in Ukraine", says Sasha's manager Martynas Tyla.

As for the Lithuania, Sasha Son is about to record his first studio album. Many songs are produced by popular Lithuanian producers and written by Sasha. He was also asked to write a hymn for the children who have cancer. The song will be performed by many known Lithuanian singers in a special show.

I have to agree with Louis LaFontaine, still I'm curious to hear the song! I wonder what it might sound like.

@Chris P.

... hardly a rock song...

Of course you are right if you have a classic paradigm in mind. I rather meant a rock appeal in a broader sense and by her standards. In contemporary pop music there are most often some eclectic ingredients, a mix of different musical styles, such as can be found in this song: distorted guitar riffs, plain synth lines and a moderate but energetic rhythm pattern, which musical diction and motives are strictly aligned to - features that are fundamental in rock music. But since Csézy with her wonderful dark timbre isn't really a rock singer and the atypical e-piano arrangement sounds rather "stylish", the whole thing gets a much smoother appearance. (An interesting point is that she holds a conservatory degree and thus has a classical trained voice but almost never uses her head register, unlike Tarja Turunen, Alenka Gotar or Malena Ernman, for instance.)

That link you provided was to a good song, that I could see doing ok at Eurovision, although I think that's hardly a rock song. I have absolutely no idea why they made her look so old on stage in 2008, although it probably suited her dated entry - an entry that she did sing well though.

Off-topic - for lack of assets (but hopefully constructive).

Dear esctoday. In times of Eurovision phlegm and cultural dreariness, why not indicate some new video footage of veteran ESC artists? Well, it's just a year ago that I had to bear the most annoying case of voting injustice (even more than Sasha Son's outcome) I can remember, but it seems she has fallen into oblivion already. This is all the worse since Miss Csézy is pretty active in her homeland, she's nothing but a nice person and one of my favourite European artists. (And owns one of the most infatuating female physiognomies I was ever exposed to. - You can trust me implicitly in this regard due to my extremely sophisticated and most exquisite taste.) No ballad, but a surprisingly heftier rocking approach. Give it a try:

(Perhaps she could have delivered the right vibe to cast a spell over Eurovision this way?)

Maybe she can make him less boring, and he can give her a little class... But seriously, you never can tell, sometimes the strangest of duets can work out well. We'll just have to wait and see I suppose.

Svetlana knows how to perform and entertain. And isn't that what is also important? I saw her at Marcanti Amsterdam during EurovisioninConcert, and her performance was the highlight of the show.

OMG, i cant think of two people more unlikely to perform together than Sasha and Svetlana...
This is one song I do NOT want to miss. What does love mixed with anti-crisis bom sound like anyway...? :S
I want to see this on stage in Oslo 2010 !! :D

SVETA + SASHA FTW !!

Why... what a diverse and complex question. Why is Sasha Son(g) going to perform with Svetlana Loboda? Why did Mr. Rybak mention her as his 2009 favourite? Why did several entrants account her as an appealing artist? Why are people so reluctant that they ask "Why"? A few questions, one answer: Different people have different approaches of assessing. But the fact that her Moscow fellows experienced Svetlana in a positive way might perhaps make you reflect on your own dislike. Finally straight legs and an apparently prurient habit don't disqualify her for sincere artistry (my favourite term).

Oh my gosh! Why Sasha, why? :P
Don't let her try to steal the limelight from you ;)

Wow! Such a surprising duet, considering the seemingly two styles of music of their Eurovision entries, but let's hope they will make the song a good piece.

Why with Svetlana? WHY?? Sasha and her are opposite poles: Sasha has class, style, good taste and a nice voice. Svetlana is just a flamboyant and noisy show-woman, she can't even sing and she's totally tasteless... Noa would suit Sasha awful better, to say just one example...
