Finland: The Waldo's People Interview
esctoday.com talked to Waldo's People, the representatives of Finland in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. They told us they are very impressed with the stage and they plan to use every centimetre of it, since they have, as they call it, “fire choreography”.
They also want to show to the audience that rock and ballads are not the only things Finland can offer to Europe. They expect a huge support from the fans and see the ESC as a perfect place for launching a successful international career. In the video provided below this text you can watch the whole interview and find out some new information about the band and their Moscow performance.

lose control is great!
Hey guys'n gals, sending this comment from Turkey!! well.. Finland has an impressive song this year for esc,i love the girl's voice and the way she sings, fabolous and sensational!! the boy is ok.. what about the melody,it sounds like typical standard eurovision song.. as i've seen their first rehearsal, they'll mostly come out with singing strongly.. but you all know eurovision is about the show, dance anymore!!but i hope good luck for finland ;-))
Top Ten!!(in a lil mixed list)
1.Turkey Norway or Greece
2.Azerbaijan
3.Spain
4.Ukraine
5.Finland
6.Armenia
7.Denmark
8.United Kingdom
(that's totally ten,isn't it?) well.. lol,eurovision is also a surprising event!!so i can't guess the winner!!cya folks!!
btw in 2007 mikko was so handsome ahaha if finand wins again ,i wanna see mikko for the 2nd time
Funny how so many are so critical of the performance, just based on a first technical rehearsal... They have plenty of time to shape it yet. After all, what should matter most is the SONG, and they have a very strong song...
Although I must admit I really don't like the background graphics, they were a bit too confusing; and I really hope they'll change the outfits, white just doesn't go together with this entry!
But those are just minor details compared to the song...
Waldos people rock!!!! Finnish entry is one of the best in this year! I do not say like this because I am from Finland but this is truth!
I think Turkey, Iceland, Finland have big chances in this year! Good luck all!
"Sorry Waldo - pack up your bags back to Helsinki and then harness your deers to"
Do you mean reindeers?
Gooooooooooooooo Waldo
Finland's song is great and the rehearsal wasn't as bad as some esc fans seem to think. Waldo has style, the song is the only song of its genre in the first semi and I am sure it will be in the final
Horrible entry.
i want to qualify:
Malta
Andorra
Finland
Switzerland
Turkey
Bosnia
Iceland
Montenegro
Sweden
maybe Portugal/Romania
please no Armenia, Belgium, FYROM
Marko
Performance should be better, and I think that it will be....
I am in hurry to work.
@Da Coba, Finland is not strong favory to win ESC this year, is only favory to pass to the final. Kate Ryan was strong favory not only to pass to the final but also to win ESC , so Waldo's peoples have nothing to do with Kate Ryan, anyway i will repeat again something who i say always, first of in first semifinal 14 from 18 songs are favory to pass to the final, so 1 semifinal are very strong, 5 countreys are going to pass very easily beacuse of televoting : Turkey, Bosnia, Romania, Armenia and maybe FYRO Macedonia, so we have 5 - 6 places for the rest 13 songs, and 1 song is going to pass via back up jury, also every year we have 1 or 2 dark horses in each semifinal who passing to the final, so for sure some favory countreys are going to stay out from the final beacuse of back up jury ( if choose one song no favory ) and beacuse that 1 or 2 dark horse songs, and for me dark horse in 1 semifinal is Belgium and Belarus. And if back up jury are more carefull than last year will choose Malta, Andorra or Iceland ( if that 3 countreys dont pass via televoting ), but personal i thing only 1 or maybe 2 from that 3 small countreys are going to pass to the final. anyway i thing from that 12 countreys the 10 are going to pass to the final ( some of the have good songs some of them not, but 9 countreys pass via televoting
and 1 by back up jury
) in order : 1.Turkey , 2. Bosnia, 3. Armenia, 4. Switzerland, 5. Romania, 6. Sweden, 7. Finland, 8. Belgium ( dark horse), 9. FYRO Macedonia and back up jury : Malta or Iceland or Andorra. But if back up jury have the same taste like last year i want be suprice if they save Czech Repuplic, Belarus or Bulgaria..LOL
I like so much Waldo!!!!
My votes are Finland, Iceland and Turkey in Semi Final!!!
Yeah unfortunately Finland will flop!
With no specific order this are the countries to advance to the final.
Sweden, Armenia, Switzerland, Turkey, Israel (!!!), Iceland (!), Romania (!!), Portugal (!!!), Malta, Bosnia and Herzegovina (!!!)
@ Marianna S
Are you happy enough with Waldo's performance, or you think it can be better?

Selma 2005, Kate Ryan 2006, Waldo's People 2009
Sorry, but it's what I think
Finland is one of my favourites this year, but I have to admit that today's rehearsal disappointed me a bit. I hope this is because today it was just a technical rehearsal and the semifinal day the will do better.
finland has one of the best songs this year. hope they reach the final
