Listen to Fool For Love here
UK: Sonia prepares for comeback single
The single will be released by Energise Records and will also feature on a compliation album featuring several stars from the 1980s and 1990s. Earlier this year, Sonia delighted the crowd at the UKeurovision Winners' Party, performing alongside fellow UK representative Nicki French and former winners, Bucks Fizz before Dima Bilan and Ani Lorak wowed the London crowd.
Sonia had a string of hits in the early 1990s with legendary pop writers Stock, Aitken and Waterman, including You'll never stop me loving you, Counting every minute, and Only fools never fall in love.
Sonia's United Kingdom entry lost to Ireland on the final round of voting, sitting just 11 points behind the eventual winners. Neither entry scored 1-10 points, meaning that if either claimed the 'douze points', they would win the competition. On the final vote of the night, Ireland secured the marks to win by just 23 points in a very tight race for victory.

OMG, I think you're right
Stockholm...you would have sent the UK bankrupt with all those wins!
Sonia...what a terrible song, now and then. I guess "Better the Devil You Know" was catchy, but I found it irritating and instantly forgettable. "In Your Eyes" would have had my vote! And people complaining about singing in English? Well, the rules are such that if your, poor, hard done-by country wants to, it can sing in English too. Don't even get me started on the foolish idea to bring back the language rule...
Jonny
Thanks
Stockholm
Wow! Your profile is immense! Not only is it really cool that you've put all your faves like that, you've also got amazing taste!
Jonny
As you can see from my (boring) profile "In your eyes" is in my top 3 too
Stockholm
"In your eyes" is in my top 3, 3rd or joint second place with Netherlands
I think it made a great winner though
"Better the devil" is my 1993 winner too, Belgium is my second favourite
But Jonny, I thought you favoured "In your eyes".
Sorry Sonia
Not really a fan of "fool"
But on a lighter note, "better the devil" is my 1993 winner
And i'm not just saying that cause i'm from the UK, the song isn't amazing, but its decent and catchy, and Sonia really did give a really good, solid performance
Netherlands is my second fave from 1993
One of the most annoying British songs in eurovision ever. Hate it, it sounds so fake. Besides, 1993 was the heyday of unfairness in the contest. Songs in English were so obvious favoured by the juries. Six of the nine top three songs from 1992 till 1994 were sung in English. One was sung in French, one in German. Only Edita's Gurniak "To nie ja" was sung in a language other then the big three. Thought the juries heard her sing half the song in English during the rehearsals.
wooh 1st ones badd
maybe alw could whip her into shape?
oh please...it sounds so 1991 ...
Sorry btw tickets for "Eurovision - Your Country Needs You!"
are available!

Actually this song sounds really really bad ! Like a Melodi reject for the Junior version - and horribly off-key singing, like on a bad drunken karaoke night (well, not as bad as me, but still pathetic). Unlike 1993 when she should've won !
Nothing special here, trying to be a mixture of Steps and Gina G.
