Si la vie est cadeau

New version of Eurovision winner to premiere at OGAE Lux Gala

Corinne Hermès will be celebrating the silver anniversary of her Eurovision victory by presenting the new acoustic version and video of Si la vie est cadeau, her 1983 winning entry, during the OGAE Luxembourg Gala this Friday.

Twenty five years after she won the Eurovision Song Contest for Luxembourg with Si la vie est cadeau, Corinne Hermes has chosen the local OGAE annual gala to present the world with the new acoustic version of her song as well as the brand new video. The song will be included in Corinne's collectors CD, Si la vie est cadeau 25 ans, which also includes the three language versions recorded 25 years ago (in French, English and German) and the original karaoke track. The CD also includes a multimedia part with Corinne's performances on the Munich stage and the preview shot in 1983.

This coming Friday, Corinne Hermes will also be signing copies of her new CD for the lucky fans present. A record number of 300 guests will be attending this year's gala, which will also see Vania Fernandes and Marion Welter as special guests.

Si la vie est cadeau, 25 ans can be purchased online here.

A very special thank you to Dominique Dufaut.

1983 was a good year, my pick of the songs was the German entrant, a song I play regularly. But I'm not disappointed by the Luxembourg entry winning, she had a good song, well performed. Mind you, the English version was awful...but often they were back then :-P

Ghost? hehe...

I think this was the first of a decade of weak winners, with a few exception of course. The song isn't that bad, but it was too French to become an international hit. You got several better entries that year (1983), as Sweden, Yugoslavia and not least - Israel.

I love this song... one of my fave winsning songs ever... It reminds me of ghosts... coz when I first heard it and was listening to it over and over again I had my ghost phase where I would look up websites about ghosts and hauntings and scary stuff! :D Love this song!
