Song dedicated to Toše

Antonija Šola donates €20,000 prize to monasteries documentary

Antonija Šola, this year’s Dora runner-up, has won the FYR Macedonian song festival Ohrid fest with the song Božji put (God’s Way), dedicated to the late FYR Macedonian superstar Toše Proeski, but has donated her €20,000 prize money to the recording of a documentary about Macedonian monasteries.

Antonija wrote some songs for Toše, and they recorded a duet together. Toše was deeply religious, and often visited the monastery in his native Kruševo to find sanctuary. Antonija has recorded her debut album in the Macedonian language, and according to the FYR Macedonian media, she will donate the proceeds from it to good causes. Antonija's management team says that she "does not want to earn money from Toše's name". Toše Proeski died in a car crash on a Croatian motorway last autumn, and a memorial concert for him will take place on the 5th of October at the stadium in the FYR Macedonain capital, Skopje.

Antonija Šola finished second in the 2008 Croatian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Gdje je srce tu je dom.

This is was really nice gesture of her, especially if you know that Antonija is not exremely rich person. She really seems as a nice person.

Well, I love Antonija and hope to see her at the ESC soon...she was way better than the old guys.

Though why not donate money directely to these monasteries ? I am not sure if a film about them is really helpful....but anway, go Antonija :)

That's nice of her, I think she also has duet with Tose. She mention him a lot in every interview so this doesn't come as big surprise.

Her songs are really boring! Typical old-fashioned pompous Balkanb stuff. Dora this year was a shamebless...the best songs did badly (the very best one was even disqualified) and most of the BAD songs from the semis made it to the final!

They should go back to dance and rnb etc...or a real ROCK song. last year was very good! Dado Topic is a rock legend in ex YU
