Fans want Edyta to Moscow
OGAE Poland: A convention to remember
The fifth annual OGAE Poland meeting, preceding next year's electoral one, was held over four days in a castle in Uniejów and was attended by 50 members. The Convention began with the meeting where last year's activities and next year's plans were discussed. The members present had the opportunity to vote for the OGAE Second Chance Contest.
The schedule included three lectures by fans on the following topics: 1) the Principality of Monaco - its Eurovision Song Contest participation and relations of the monarchy with the process of internal selection, 2) Astrology - the horoscope of the Eurovision based on the day when the first contest took place and 3) Hair style and fashion in the Eurovision Song Contest.
The members also had the chance to vote on the best and the worst of 2008 and also have their say on who they would like to see representing Poland in Moscow. This is the result of the Polish OGAE vote:
Biggest surprise of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest: Israel,
Best song of the Eurovision Song Contest: Israel,
Worst song: Estonia,
Polish Barbara Dex prize: Queens (national selection);
OGAE Poland's choice for 2009 - Edyta Górniak.
The highlight of the convention was the OGAE Poland Song Contest where 10 members displayed their stage talent by interpreting songs mainly from this year's contest. Agnieszka Klejn won first prize with Isis Gee's For life after a breathtaking voting which saw Beata Drączkowska in second place, just a few points behind, with this year's Belgian entry O julissi. Isis Gee herself could not be present, due to her busy schedule, but she called to express her gratitude for the support she received from the club members throughout her Eurovision experience.

It's surely a convention to remember. The karaoke contest was amazing when it comes to the level of participants. Even though I finished last (10/10 
) I am satisfied with all that happened. I really hope Beata will be on youtube too - she was amazing

Well, Israel was the best, that's for sure...
It's so heartwarming to see Israel is the polish favourites, although I'm NOT suprised. I sat with Polish fans at the first semi and they supported Boaz as if they were Extreme Israelies Nationalists, at least i had someone to hug me the moment the hosts said the magic word.
Even when we returned to the hotel, there was huge polish group convincing us israel is the best.

I like Agnieska's version of 'For life' And Carlos's version of 'Shady Lady' was . . . . . different!!
Basically Isis deserved way higher in Belgrade, top 15 in my opinion. I don't think any of the countries in joint last deserved to be there, possibly Germany because their vocals were so weak, but the UK and Poland certainly didn't deserve last place 
But the problem is that the quality of songs in the final was so high this year, good songs were bound to end up low down the scoreboard. I mean whilst I don't think the UK or Poland should have been in last place, I can't think of any countries that should have been in last place, possibly Croatia, but thats it.

thanks charlotte is my favourite swedish artist with carola and lisa nilsson, who i know only two songs and i'm looking for more. I wasn't in Sopot, but I saw her performance on TV. She was absolutely amazing! She sang live, and came only fifth
