Spain: Ony leaves D'Nash

Antonio Martos, better known as Ony, is to leave his band D'Nash next September. After their Summer tour D'Tour, Ony will join a new musical project.

Ony states in an official communication that these are being tough moments for him. The Valencian member of D'Nash has taken the decision of leaving the band in accordance with his fellow partners and will kick off a new stage in his career: a musical play under the management of Nacho Cano, popular in Spain as singer and composer, especially when the 80s-90s band Mecano was still united.

The last time Ony will appear next to Javi, Basty and Mikel will be their concert in Fuengirola (Málaga), at the D'Corazón gig in September. Ony sees these years being part of D'Nash as the happiest ones in his life, and this makes his decision harder.

After his departure, D'Nash will continue. Ony has wished Basty, Javi and Mikel years full of success.

D'Nash represented Spain in 2007, in Helsinki, placing 20th with the song I love you mi vida.

I ALWAYS knew he was special and an outsider in the group.
After all he was the only one without a jacket in the final...
Talk about beeing an individualist.
And now he is going to jump from a sinking ship.
Wow, the guy´s got courage!!

I should correct my previous post... Serbia didn't get 48 pts by ex yugoslavians...they got 60 pts.

I don't think Russia's BELIEVE would have won if it had come from Spain. Open your eyes and admit it, you all.

Admit what? That Russia (among other countries) had help? Noone has denied that. And if Molitva last year didn't have 48 pts by ex yugoslavian countries plus 12 pts from Switzerland that they get every year plus 12 pts from Austria which they also got every year, they wouldn't have won either.

I totally agree with Michael UK.
The entries do depending on the country they come from. I don't think Russia's BELIEVE would have won if it had come from Spain. Open your eyes and admit it, you all.

I quite liked "I love you mi vida", and Mina I thought D'Nash were rather cute :) Their performance wasn't that good imo. Perhaps they should have rehearsed their dance routine a bit more.

Jonny, the Swedish team who wrote "I love you mi vida" also wrote "Thinking thinking" for the Spanish selection this year :)

"I love you mi vida" is quite a good song, but the whole "boyband" thing just seems so cheesy nowadays and fake, its no surprised they did badly. I listen to the song from time to time, and their performance was good, but I think there were plenty of better songs on the night :)

people can mock this, but the truth is that they have had some really good songs on their 2 albums, i dont think people are in a position to judge unless they have listened to them

i cant wait for their next album!

Ohhhh...biggest and sadest news in the Spanish music scene ever!!!
Spanish media is absolutely devastated by the news and people reunite around TV and radio praying and crying...
Ha, ha, ha!!!!

Mina Carnation [51405]

I didn't like I love you mi vida at all..the only part I liked was when they said...I love you mi vida..LOL The rest of the song sounded like a big noise to my ears, I remember I was relieved it had finished!
And none of them was cute :P
