Turkey: Sibel Tuzun returns with new look and songs
Sibel has been silent ever since the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest. Now she returns with a new single containing two songs and an entirely different look than the one we saw on the Athens Eurovision stage. Aç telefonu ( Answer the phone) is composed by Marcus Brosch who has worked for Enrique Iglesias and Phil Collins before. The lyrics are written by Zeynep Talu who is one of the most popular lyricists in Turkey. Yaz Aşkı (Summer love) was composed by Ersan Üner.
Sibel Tüzün stated that she would like to share these two songs with the audience to dance to this summer. The songs will be included in her new album to be released in September .

the world does not turn around Greece or Cyprus. And not every star wants to look like another greek star. I mean by this if Sibel has once a haircut that reminds of one look of Evridiki, this does not mean she had copied Evridiki. The same goes to nonsence about Dima copying Sakis, e.t.c...Actually Sibel was more successfull than Evridiki both in her country and the contest..At leat she managed to pass the semis

I absolutely loved her entry and the way she acted.... She was absolutely adorable, no big fuss just a sweet motherly woman. I also loved her presentation....

Yes, point taken! But I would rather we went through the semis anyway, because I think part of the reason why so many people don't vote for us is because we're directly qualified to the final, its sort of seen as cheating . . . . which in many ways it actually is!

What's your problem with Turkish? English may unite people all over the world to speak with eachother but it's a horrible boring language to sing in. (And even worse if the singers can't speak it like Dima Bilan. "IIIMPOSSIIIBBBBBELLLLL" I hate it.)
hm,,,you gave me an idea right now...Lisa Andreas coming back to the contest, maybe with a good ballad, but nt for Cyprus, this time competing for the UK..then i see high chances of the UK reaching the upper floors of the scoreboard.

I've heard about it, I just don't think it will happen.
I remember that her dancers in Athens were incredibly gorgeous. Sibel was very good on stage in the final, much better than in the semi, in spite of her terrible look (especially hair and tatoo).
Maybe she could come a rescue the fortunes of the UK! We really need it after all!!

Somehow I don't think Lisa will go back to eurovision for Cyprus. Its a shame because she is a really great singer and in many ways, deserved to win in 2004, although admittedly I didn't vote for her, even though I should have done!

indeed, Stronger every minute was my amazing, maybe my most favourite entry from Cyprus ever. I hope they follow our example and send her back to Eurovision 
Mina, for real/Atena was also my absolut favourite turkish entry up to now and i wouldn't have minded it at all back then if it had won the contest..although my favourite song of ESC 2004 was Cyprus-"Stronger every minute", only 5th place, Cyprus was robbed this year..
Sibels Song 2006 was quite average, maybe a little bit above average. But her performance was great.
I really like her new songs. It would be nice to see her return to ESC stage with a song in this style.
I just listened to the song......It is like Timberland and Timberlake mixed.
