Norway: Maria can't talk today

According to the head of delegation of Norway, Maria Haukaas Storeng has been told to cancel all activities for today, and is not even allowed to speak to ensure she will be able to give her best on the night of the final.

Anja Nyhus Hagen, the head of delegation of Norway, has just informed us of the state of Marias voice. She has had a full program after making it to the final on Tuesday, and to be sure that she can deliver 100% during the dress rehersals tomorrow, and in the final on Saturday, she is not allowed to speak at all on Thursday.

 "This is not a crisis, we are just taking the actions needed to make sure that Maria will deliver 100% perfectly in the last two days of this Eurovision week, she says to esctoday.com. Maria will not attend the second semifinal this evening due to this incident. All planned activities will however go as planned from Friday on." Anja said.

Muireanne...you really don't know anything about vocaltraining or singing do you? I am a singer myself, and yes, unfortunately, these things do happen sometimes...do you really think she's only been rehearsing 4 times? ha ha ha get a grip!

Well at London's Scala event she was chuffing away on cigarettes. That aint gonna help her voice is it? I just hope that the no talking also means no smoking and that she is ready to wow us all over again on Saturday. Good luck Maria....we love you!

@Muireanne Bulens
Wow.. what an immensely "intelligent" thing to say. You really think that the quality of Maria's singing is connected to the fact that she has to rest her voice?
Go NORWAY, you make us proud :)

This article doesn't say anything about Maria losing her voice, but that it is the Norwegian delegation that is taking precautions. Obviously they are taking this very seriously and rightly so...Maria has a good chance on saturday.

She hasn't lost her voice, she's a bit tired, that's all. I think it's smart of her to relax until the final on Saturday. Then her performance will be perfect :D Good luck!

Tsk, it's not only four rehearsals and one performance. She has been singing the whole week, most recently at Serbian breakfast show yesterday. Not to mention she has been talking to the press ALOT and been involved in various concerts/arrangements, etc. So you better shut up and accusing someone for being 'good'. You're obviously not one...

@Muireanne Bulens
Wow.. Very "good" analysis about Maria there. Do you REALLY believe that she's a bad singer just because she has to rest her voice for a while? What a rubbish comment.

She hasn't lost her voice she is just preserving it until the final, which I personally think its a very good idea! GO NORWAY!

She hasn't lost her voice. They've just strictly instructed her to rest it. A bit melodramatic, but funny and understandable I guess. She was faultless on Tuesday and I'm sure she'll get Norway a well-deserved good score on Saturday.

Good luck Norway!

Muireanne:

What a loser comment. This girl is one of the greatest singer in the contest. And when she is that unfortunate by catching a cold, you shouldnt use that as a factor turning her into a bad singer. That's so lame of you. I wish you the best for the final, Maria! 12 points from United Kingdom

Muireanne Bulens [45898]

Must be a very 'good' singer that she already loses her voice after barely 4 rehearsals and one performance... anyway, good luck Norway
