I'm surprised that Portugal didn't get more points. They thought it was dull and old-fashioned.

Thanks, Jonny.
The panel liked the UK. They thought the song was good, timeless, though not a winner, and that Andy was a very good singer.

the portuguese song it is one million better than sweden song. i dont understand swedish but the swedish people dont understand portuguese, so the song from sweden it is démode, and the singer looks like a transexual. vão para a merda e parem de gozar. um louro oxigenado, uma bixonga , uma porca gorda e duas peruas e com um apresentador saído do manicómio. meu deus que galinheiro. carola no win, charlotte perelli no win. and sweden 2009 no never exist. they influencie the swedish people in the final national classification for the esc and this it is bad. fuck them.

@ Kevin Forssander

"You know that Sweden Is In the Top 3 of the world BEST music production countries in the world."

Oh really? Top 3 of the BEST?! I think that is matter of opinion ( and you are of course entitled to YOURS.) But Sweden being the third largest musical exporting country, I would say, is more like it. :)

As a matter of fact, I think I do understand why, v.n:
your comments were absolutely clear, meant to be abusive and they actually were.
His comments however don't make sense at all, it's really hard to understand what he is trying to say. I'm sure he was angry with you, but I wonder what he really means. ('would into turn into a racist'????)

v n [28573]

yes but john...dont u wonder why my comments were deleted but not his? anyway lets leave it...peace :)

v.n.: I didn't say you should accept racist comments but advised you to ask the editors to remove them, and they will if the comments are racist. Replying yourself wil only make matters worse and comments cannot be removed by anyone but the editors/moderators.

Mon 12 May 2008 13:16:32

@ws...its a constant effort believe me, not to answer to stupidity and racism. There r limits though and i think that Viktor Hansson has passed them. U can still read his message, which Gavin Murray found was not insulting for the esc community. It's still there... :)

Anyway, cheers mate...i won't pay any other attention to it...Eurovision is upon us :)

Mon 12 May 2008 13:08:31

@vn, I can relate to a lot you are saying, but I also think John is right. It is better not to lower yourself. But it is hard not to, I know. Maybe Esctoday should make an easy to use "report abuse"-button.

v n [28573]
Mon 12 May 2008 12:45:53

@john today
u were here last night...u know that my deleted comments were just above the rascists viktor, plus they were an answer to his threats.
How come an editor was offended by my comments, but not at all by this outrageous comment, to which my comments were an answer? I think some ppl r dangerously tolerant towards the rascist trends in europe. He had time enough to protect viktor haukkson? Give me a break. The swedes fans have passed a line these last 2 weeks. And its the fault of editors protecting them. Simple.

U cannot come in here and threaten ppl that u will become a rascist if they keep on bashing the perelli thing.

And yes, we all know, at least all of us that visit or are members of various esc forums and sites, that esctoday is famous for promoting a single country year after year. I dont think that this comes as a surprise to anyone. But letting a comment like this undeleted while deleting the answers to this disgrace, is a first for ESCTODAY. Way to go.

But u should know that racist abominations like viktor haukkson only appear 10 days before esc just to promote their country every year. Not like true esc fans, whom, from what i hear, u have lost enough already...

Shame on the editor of this post. I hope the rest of esctoday won;t agree.

JOHN today [10570]
Mon 12 May 2008 12:35:54

v.n. you can hardly expect the editors to read every single comment here, as these weeks they are probably busy as it is.
If you really think a message is inappropriate, send a mail to the editors and ask them to remove it instead of writing rude comments yourself.
Show some respect, if you want others to do that too. :)

v n [28573]
Mon 12 May 2008 12:16:36

@Gavin Murray
Way to go man. You found insultive my comments about the stupidity of viktor hansson, but u didnt mind at all his racist threats.

I wonder why, each and every year, 10 days before esc, esctoday always becomes so biased. Shame on you for leaving a comment like that published. And shame on each and everyone who contributes in this article but didnt take one minute to answer to this person.

Maybe if we all reacted to ppl like viktor, then the moderators wouldnt dare to leave such messages there.

"HERO sounds like songs from the 1980,s .....if you are going to vote for quality music..let it be SWITZERLAND or ROUMANIA"
Oh, yeah, right, Romania and Switzerland sounds so fresh :))))) We listen such songs I guess ages on Sanremo Festival and it's not even 80s, it's older.

I think its very funny to read comments about Sweden and Swedens Music.... You know that Sweden Is In the Top 3 of the world BEST music production countries in the world. Its just Bullshit, and Jeaulousy you are writing "maybe not all" :D (hmm or how its spelled). I LOVE Switzerlands song, And I like Romania.

If I would Have chosen a winner to go from Sweden to Eurovision it would be Sanna Nielsen. I think that she would have a bigger chance to win. But Hey, dont come here and Say that Charlotte dont have a chance because she does. Look at the polls everywhere (she is at the top three everywhere as Ive seen so far). Sweden Last year was at the 10 place (at the polls) or something. We ended up hmm 18?

And Hoffa Johanna, thank u for lovley commennts about Sweden. We LOVE ICELAND 2 :D.
Lena is from Smaland in Sweden from Vetlanda Jonkopings Lan.
Charlotte is from Hovmanstorp that is a small village outside of the small town Vaxjo in Smaland also

I agree, thelma, Romania and Switzerland are in my top5 as well. However, it's funny you should say that the Swedes are stuck in the eighties: you don't mean seriously that the Swiss and Romanian songs are very modern, do you. :)
Still I prefer good copies to bad originals: as long as you like the music, what does it matter if it's been done before?

SWEDES are stuck in the ABBA era the year is 2008 ,,,come on catch up with todays style of music HERO sounds like songs from the 1980,s .....if you are going to vote for quality music..let it be SWITZERLAND or ROUMANIA...and their singers are vocally impressive....but the way ESC is.... something stupid will probably win....like monsters..chicki chickis. dancing turkeys....or Quele Queles

arch KS

The panel said something like this about Albania:
Nice song, full of feeling, but the chorus is missing. Olta is a good singer although she's only 16 - and she will be even better in a few years - but a singer with a more powerful voice, like Celine Dion, would have been more suited for this song.
Very nice video, the best one this year.

I agree. It´s ok to have an opinion, but there´s no need to get all nasty about it.

Hoffa, you are right, but I think more people should be asked to have some respect for others. I can understand that some fans get annoyed by the disrespectful way some others write about singers and songs. I hope the editors will do their work.

eurovision is racism-free (at least we try) :)
