Biography
To perform onstage in Copenhagen and represent Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest will be a dream come true for 29-year-old Michelle. She has never hidden the fact she made it through a hard and rather unhappy childhood by dreaming of becoming a singer.
The development from being Tanja Hewer, her name by birth, to the artist Michelle has been long and hard. But it has happened for Michelle who today is a recognized success with many hits on the charts, strong record sales and lots of prestigious awards. In addition to fighting hard to make her career a success, she is also quite busy at home, where she raises her two daughters, Celine aged four and Marie-Louise, nine months, by herself.
Three people have been involved in making Michelle’s dream of singing at the Eurovision Song Contest become a reality. The German entry was composed by the team of Gino Trovatello and Matthias Stingl, while Eva Richter wrote the lyrics for the song whose title is "Wer Liebe lebt".
