Biography
The Icelandic duo TwoTricky consists of the musicians Gunnar Ólason and Kristján Gíslason along with the dancers Yesmine Olsson and Nanna Jonsdottir.
Kristján Gíslason, lead singer, has been a part of the Icelandic music scene for the last ten years as a keyboardist and singer in a number of well-known bands. For the last three years, he has also expanded into theater and has played leading rolls in several major productions. Gunnar Ólason, singer and guitarist, has for the last couple of years been a part of young girl’s dreams and their father’s nightmares as the lead singer and guitarist in the Icelandic pop sensation Skímó, a band in which Einar Ágúst Víđisson (ESC 2000) also has a big role.
Yesmine Olson, dancer and choreographer, has choreographed for The Backstreet Boys and danced with Take That, Eternal and All Saints. Nanna Jonsdottir has won a long series of dance competitions both as a soloist and with her dance company.
Einar Bárđarson, is one of Iceland’s most successful songwriters and has been for several years. Three of his songs have reached the number one spot in the Icelandic Top 40, making Einar the only songwriter with that honour. Einar Bárđarson is also known as Iceland’s leading pop and club promoter. Many name him as the reason for Skímó’s fantastic success, but the work with TwoTricky has been his most challenging project so far.
Magnus Thor Sigmundsson, is known both as a guitarist, singer and songwriter. He has a long list of hits behind him, among others, one of Iceland’s most loved pop songs "Iceland, Your Country"
