Biography
Music has always played a major role in Nuša Derenda’s life. As a child she sang in choruses, performed as a soloist, attended music school and learned to play the accordion. Those were her first steps into the world of entertainment and show business. Originally, Nuša Derenda (real name Anuška Znideršic) wanted to be a pree-school teacher, but the desire to sing and her involvement in a band took up most of her time. In 1990, she and her band had become quite professional and toured Slovenia, Germany and Switzerland.
In 1995 Nuša Derenda married, but she kept dreaming about the opportunity of releasing an album. This dream became true in 1999 with the CD "Vzemi me veter" (Take me, wind), where the title song won a first place in a contest on Slovenian TV. Later she received several awards including the award for best female artist in Slovenia.
After having played the violin ever since childhood, in 1991 Matjaz Vlašic became a member of one of Slovenia’s most popular bands "Pop design". Many of the songs that he wrote for the band became great hits and it is impossible to list all of the awards he has received for his work. In 1997 he left "Pop design" to focus on writing and arranging music for other artists.
Lucienne Lonchina has performed as a pianist and vocalist at five star hotels in many countries including Finland, Norway and Sweden. She has been the lead singer for the band "Sharks" and has performed in clubs, hotels and on cruise ships all over Europe. In 1992 she decided to settle in Slovenia to start a firm dealing in all types of music. She still writes lyrics for many leading Slovenian, Italian and other international musicians and producers.
