Biography
Haldor Lægreid was born in 1970 and has been fascinated by musicals ever since he was a child. In 1989, he was enrolled at the Göteborg Ballet Academy where he studied musicals. It was also at the Academy that he performed publicly for the first time in the role of Judas in "Jesus Christ Superstar".
Later, Haldor Lægreid spent several years in Germany where he participated in productions such as "Cats", "West side story" and "Les miserables" and he also lived for a while in Denmark where he was in the popular Danish musical "Atlantis". Home in Norway, Haldor Lægreid performed in the musical "Rent" and another production of "Jesus Christ Superstar". Most recently in the Autumn of 2000, he performed in a large scale production of "Hair" at the Oslo Spectrum.
Ole Henrik Antonsen and Tom-Steinar Hanssen have worked together for many years both as songwriters, producers and as musicians. Ole Henrik plays keyboards and Tom-Steinar plays guitar. They focus mainly on youthful pop music, but their meeting with Haldor Lægreid and his unique voice inspired them to write the ballad "On my own" for the Song Contest.
Ole Henrik Antonsen and Tom-Steinar Hanssen wrote the lyrics together with their colleague Ole Jørgen Olsen who has a background as both a songwriter and a musician.
