Biography
Maarja-Liis llus is only 16, and still in school, but she has been on the stage from the age of three. At four she played the lead in a children's musical film, and now, with a successful CD under her belt, she is recording her new album and working as a professional singer, doing several concerts a week. This is Maarja's second consecutive year as a singer for Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Harmo Kaalaste is from the small town of Viljandi in southern Estonia. He started composing at seven years of age - but had already begun performing at five, in TV song contests. He studied piano and saxaphone in Rapla and Tallin. Since the age of 15 he has performed with bands at home and abroad.
Kaari Sillamaa runs the School of Fine Arts for children, and sings and plays with the rock band The Names. She has composed two children's operas and many songs.This is the second time a song of hers has been in the Eurovision Song Contest. [Notes from the Official 1997 Programme by RTÉ]
