Biography

Lúcia Moniz was born in Lisbon in 1976. She has studied music for ten years, the last of which was spent in the USA. Here, in addition to singing in the school's Concert Choir and receiving a prize for composing, she participated in the musicals "Kiss Me Kate" and "Anything Goes". At the moment, she studies percussion at the Lisbon Metropolitan School. She also works regulary for recording companies and for television.

Pedro Osório was born in Oporto in 1939. He studied music parallel with mechanical engineering, but when he had finished his technical studies, he embarked on a professional music career. During his years as an arranger, producer and conductor, he has collaborated with most of the great names in Portuguese folk music. He has also written several big hits, composed theme tunes for television programmes and received various music prizes. In 1968, he wrote the music for Portugal's contribution in the Eurovision Song Contest, and in 1975 and 1984, he participated as conductor.

José Fanha is a teacher and a poet. In 1975, he became famous when he won the popular RTP (Portugese Broadcasting Corporation) music contest, in which the competitors must write, compose and perform their own musical plays. [Notes from the Official 1996 Programme by NRK]
