Biography
Born in Limassol, Evridiki studied music in Greece, Paris and Boston before beginning her singing career in 1991 in Greece and rapidly achieving a top position as a singer on stage and television, with three best-selling albums to her credit. She represented Cyprus with George Theophanous' song in 1992, and is currently planning an extensive concert tour.
George Theophanous, aged 26, studied music at the National Conservatory and in Boston, and now lives and works in Athens where he is a songwriter and arranger. He is married to Evridiki, who sang his song Teriazoume as the Cypriot entry at the 1992 Eurovision Song Contest.
Backing vocals for Evridiki are provided by Demos Van Beke and Kyriakos Zymboulakis, who both represented Cyprus in 1993, and Haris Halkitis, Eva Tselidou and Joanna Barrington. [Notes from the Official 1994 Programme by RTÉ]
