Biography
'Put' (Road) is an ensemble of six vocalists from the 'Putokazi' (Roadsigns) choir. The group has a distinctive sound and style and is gaining in popularity in Croatia and internationally, having toured and won a number of major awards. The members are Vivien Galletta, Andela Jelicic, Melita Sedic, Pater Cucak, Olja Desic and Naim Ajra. With the exception of Naim Ajra, who is a recent graduate in hotel management, they are all students.
Dorde Novkovic is well known in Croatia and has had more than 2000 of his songs recorded. A number of his biggest hits have been recorded in Europe, the best known being 'Stari Pjer' (Old Peter). Andrej Basa, a prize winner at six light-music festivals, has produced more than 120 LPs and has arranged the music of 'Don't Ever Cry'. He will conduct the orchestra for the Croatian entry. Dorde and Andrej are participating for the first time in the Eurovision Song Contest. [From the 1993 Programme by RTÉ]
