Biography
Georgina was born in Malta on April 23rd, 1959, and at the age of eighteen she joined a heavy metal band. She gained popularity with a second rock band, but after two years she decided to leave it. She then travelled all around the world taking part in various festivals until she was chosen for the female lead part of the Rock Opera "Bastija". It was at that occasion that she met Paul Giordimaina and the duo is now going to participate in the 36th Eurovision Song Contest.
Paul Giordimaina has been one of the most popular Maltese artists since 1982. Paul has participated in the International Festival of Maltese Song six times and won three times. He also took part in several contests abroad including the Lyra Song Festival in Bratislava. He has performed in Canada, Italy and Germany too. He has been singing with Georgina since 1989 and together they won the 1991 Festival of Maltese Song. [Notes from the Official 1991 Programme by RAI]
