Biography

Dora Maria Reis Dias de Jesus was born in Lisbon on 20th May 1966. After completing her studies for admission to the University, she studied dancing as an amateur, and entered a competition for new talents in Radio, having obtained 1st. place. She speaks English and French fluently. The first time Dora appeared professionally she obtained her passport for Eurovision.

Luis Manuel de Oliveira Fernandes was born in Lisbon, on 23rd June 1962. Luis Oliveira started his career as a musician at 17 years of age, playing the guitar in restaurants and hotels. For the last year he has been working as a studio musician. He is also connected with musical production at the "Estudios Namouche".

José Joao dos Santos Aguas Pontes or Zé da Ponte was born at Silves, Algarve, on 7th February 1954. He started his musical career at 14 years of age, as a versatile musician, in various groups of his native region, in night-clubs, parties and galas, related to tourist events. As a musician and composer, Zé da Ponte was a member of one of the most important groups in the Portuguese musical panorama, "Salada de Frutas", with which he obtained various first places in the national TOP sales, having recorded his work at the Wisseloord Studios, in Holland, and at the Eden Studios, in London. Zé da Ponte has published a single in the United Kingdom with the group "Zoom". As his main activity, he has the production of records and the composition and production of publicity jingles in the Estudios Namouche.

Guilherme Manuel Scarpa Lopes Inês was born in Lisbon, 30th April 1951. He started his career at 14 years of age in dance groups, such as "Zoo", "Chinchilas", "Objectivo". etc. As a studio musician, accompanying Zeca Afonso, he was a member of "Salada de Frutas". Guilherme Inês takes part in different activities in Portugal and abroad as a member of the "Zoom" as author and composer. His main acitivity is to produce records and publicity jingles at the Estudios Namouche.

Colin Frechter is a songwriter and arranger for various artists including 1976 Eurovision winners Brotherhood of Man. He has conducted many orchestras over the years. [Notes from the official 86 programme by NRK]
