Biography
The song is sung by Chocolate, Menta, Mastik. What a boon this trio is to the army recruiting office in Israel, because these are three of the finest fighting-men in Israel, and as fine a body of men you'll seldom see.
The members of the group Yardena Arazi, Rutti Holzman and Lea Loopatin joined the army on the same day, began singing together almost immediately, teamed up with the entertainments group and remained together when they were honorably discharged. Although they are undoubtably successful and happy nowadays, I feel if you look deeply into their eyes, you'll detect a cetain warm light of reminiscence as their blood stirs with yearning for the good old army days of square-bashing the sally, boot-polishing and peeling potatoes. Yes to me they look like three typical thirty-year men who'd really rather be singing around the camp-fire tonight rather than on this great stage.
Yardena Arazi entered into the Eurovision Song Contest again as a solo singer for Israel in 1988 with Ben Adam, after having presented the contest in 1979. Lea Loopatin tried to enter into the Eurovision Song Contest twice. In 1981 she joined forces with former Eurovision winners Milk & Honey on Serenada and in 1985 she came back solo with Shir Amelim.
