Biography
Sabahudin Kurt was from Sarajevo and participated at many festivals but he wasn't really a star. Soon after his Copenhagen-disaster he dissapeared from the music scene and started to do other things. He was a guest of honour at the Bosnian pre-selection in 1994.
The lyrics for the song were taken from the latest collection of poems by a respectable Serbian poet, Stevan Raickovic, without him knowing. This explains the "surrealistic" feeling about the song.
The national Yugoslav final of 1964 ended in a tie between "Zivot je sklopio krug" and "Zlati April", sung by Marjana Derzaj from Slovenia. The song by Sabahudin Kurt was declared the winner as it received more top-marks.
