Biography
Ljiljana Petrovic was from Novi Sad and was almost completely unknown at the time. She was in Ljubljana recording material for her first single. Jozé Privšek incidentally heared her and thought her voice would fit well to his song. Her career started with the ESC and she participated at many festivals in the 60's but never reached the status of a star. An interesting anecdote: Ljiljana Petrovic was told to wear a very simple dress on stage in Cannes as she was representing "a proletarian country" but Saša Novak secretly brought a brooch and gave it to Ljiljana to wear on stage.
