Hey everyone I am Daniel, born and bred in Belfast, and I have watched Eurovision since I can remember although I have gotten really into it for the last 5 years. I certainly have my favourite songs and think the quality is getting better year on year, although a lot of the time the results don't reward the songs that I like but what can ye do?

SEND A PUPPET TURKEY!!! I AM DELIGHTED THAT DUSTIN IS GOIN TO EUROVISION AND HE MAY NOT WIN BUT HE HAS CERTAINLY RUFFLED SOME FEATHERS (I am really sorry for that!)

So far for 2008, I know many people think there are an awful lot of bad songs with Dustin at the forefront but I personal really like quite a few of the entries - even the gimmicks have their qualities
Standout for me of course is Dustin who has a sent a funny but also really good song. I remember watching it in shock thinking how bold it was and I am proud for him to represent Ireland.
I have finally worked out standing for every country too:
1. Ireland - a bit obvious
2. Ukraine - great voice, great performer, great to watch
3. France - just brilliant - Too complex for Eurovision deserves a better medium than it
4. Spain - like Daddy Yankee is taking on the Macarena. Hilarious!
5. Greece - sure bet for top 10, sounds like a song in the charts today
6. Iceland - sounds like a euro hit
7. Bosnia & Herzegovina - ditto France
8. Norway - great voice and song
9. Turkey - best rock song this year
10. Belgium - most charming entry this year
11. Bulgaria - brings me back to my holiday in Tenerife (what I remember anyway)
12. Germany - I am in love No Angels thus I love this.
13. Switzerland - probably one of the most professional entry, even if it is a bit dated

15. Armenia - rubbish lyrics but she is hot and the song ain't bad at all

17. Sweden - generic but still catchy enough

19. Latvia - If I were 5 again I would be voting for this
20. Russia - think he is a bit of a knob but the song is growing on me

42. Belarus - I can't wait to see him 'perform' in Belgrade. They could build a brick wall on stage that would show greater charisma

Best song not to qualify for the Eurovision has to be Michelle from Norway - she was bloody hot and had a great song although having said that I really like the song they picked so I won't complain too much

In the real world, outside Eurovision, I love lots of music from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay, the Beatles and the Who to Girls Aloud, Nelly Furtado (all of her stuff!) and Justin Timberlake, with my favourite song currently being Black & Gold by Sam Sparro.
I just have to add too, even though it is completely off topic, that LOST is the best TV show of all time and I am completely addicted so I am well up for talking about that!!
