I became a fan of the Eurovision Song Contest when I first watched it in 1972. In 1974, aged 10, I started collecting all of the entries and have an enormous collection. In 1982 aged 18, I went to the Eurovision Song Contest in Harrgogate when Germnany won. I went again in 1998 when Israel won. It was fantastic. My favourite winners are Monaco 1971, and Luxembourg 1972. I generally like the Israeli and Swedish entries and many of the past french entries. In 2006 Carola was my favourite and I was not keen on Finland. I feel that the voting has become very unfair of late with neighbours just voting for neighbours. I think it has become political too. I think the voting needs reform.
