I have started watching this lovely competition in 1986, when I was 9 years old. I liked it very much and I was really excited mostly by the voting in the end... There were many years that were not many good songs, but I was watching it, because I am fan, I couldn't imagine doing something else that day. I consider me and my twin brother as real fans of the contest, sharing much time for it.

My opinion on the freedom the language is that it helped very much some specific countries, like Finland and Turkey, that were underestimated just because of the language and UK, Malta and Ireland don't have now the big advantage that they are the only countries that had the opportunity to sing in the most known language. This is probably why UK takes usually one of the bottom places of the contest in these last years. That was a good improvement of the competition, but I really do feel badly about the absence of the orchestra. The orchestra was an important factor of the glory of ESC. Also, the televoting reduced the quality of the songs. We can see now that the way of appearance affects the results more than the song itself... Take for example Lordi (2006) and Marie N. (2002).

In 2004, the composers, as you probably know, gave an unofficial prize to my country's entry "Stronger every minute", because they considered that it was the best song of that contest. If there was a jury voting that year, we would possibly be celebrating the first victory of Cyprus in the contest... The best way of voting is at least 50\% of jury voting and the remanied percentage of televoting.
