Well.. What can i say about myself, other that i am a fosile?
My first memories of E.S.C. was when i DIDNT get to se the 1969 final, because i had to go to bed..
(I was 6 years old) And in 1970 Norway boicotted the contest, together with a huge number of other countries as a protest to what happened in 69 (4 winners and all that). So my first "E.S.C. experience" was in 1971. and from then on, i have been glued to the chair every year....
And has it REALLY changed?? NOOO!!!!
The "OLD" Eastern Europe now share the same enthusiasm we in the west had in the 70s. And i find it kind of strange how some countries in the west tries to lick the Easts back by sending song that are supposed to satisfy the Eastern Europe viewers. And time and time again they fail.. (THis year best represented by Malta and The Netherlands)
However, if we/they didnt, we woldnt have anything to talk about on this site, now, would we...?
