Hurrah the two semi concept will be part of Belgrade 2008! So much better, and I am looking forward to my first Eurovision edition. Personal faves: Azerbaijan and Iceland.

---OLD STORY---
My parents always watched the Eurovision Songcontest, which draw my attention immediately. Ever since I watch the ESC. The last couple of years I am a fan, and I really like the information at esctoday.com!

Short opinion
I think the semifinal is a vague concept. Better songs will make it to the final, but the semifinalists will get better rankings. So, if you want to win you have to come from the semifinal. It would be better to hear all songs in advance, so that you need two semifinals, although many people might get bored because of so much Eurovision.

Semifinal 2006
Treble (the Netherlands) will not make it to the final I think. Problem is our predecessor Finland. They will get their best ranking ever in Finnish Eurovision history. Macedonia and Bosnia will make it to the final for sure, just like favorites Belgium, Sweden and Iceland. Also Cyprus will. So far for my personal predictions. By the way: Lithuania with "We are the winners" will probably finish last.
UPDATE
I simply cannot believe that Poland did not make it to the final. Unbelievable. Moreover, my prediction was quite lousy. Fortunately Finland and Sweden take part in the final.

Final 2006
Finland will not win, but has a good chance to become Finland's best entry ever. Sweden will get a top 5 ranking. More forthcoming.

Hurrah for Finland! My favorite song won the ESC, despite I thought they would not make it. Great song and a great performance: no wonder Europe loves it!
