My story

Gi Gi

I have watched Eurovision since 2003. As much as I hate to admit it, I love it. Why I hate to admit it? Well, ask... It's just that the ESC isn't taken serious anymore, at least not here where I live now. And to be honest, it's not so much quality to find in the show. However, there have been some excellent songs every now and then. I can list some of my favourites:

Umberto Tozzi & Raf - Gente di mare
Mia Martini - Rapsodia
Gigliola Cinquetti - Si
Daniel - Dzuli
Doris Dragovic - Zeljo moja
Dino Merlin & Beatrice - Putnici
Goran Karan - Ostani
Danijela - Neka mi ne svane
Live Report - Why Do I Always Get It Wrong?
Johnny Logan - What's Another Year?
Jalisse - Fiumi di parole
Amina - La dernier qui a parle
One More Time - Den vilda
Franco & Alice - I treni di Tozeur
Put - Don't ever cry
Zeljko Joskimovic - Lane Moje

My favourites for 2006? To be honest, I usually make this kind of list AFTER the contest, because the live performance means for me almost the same as the song itself does. For instance, watching "Lane Moje" being given that kind of performance it was given, made the song stand out as something extraordinary, like something beautiful among so much mediocrity. The performance made the song one of my all-time ESC favourites. Not that the song isn't beautiful, because it really is. However, I must admit that I love BiH this year, and it also stands out from the bunch of up-tempo songs we've been served untill now. Not to mention that Hari Mata Hari is one of my favourite artists, and the song itself is something beautiful =)

The Eurovision Song Contest is vey enjoyable. It takes place only once in a year, and it's almost the same feeling like Chirstmas. The whole family gathered together in front of the TV, it gives you a great feeling.

As for myself, I am 16 years old and I live in Norway, but I'm not Norwegian. Maybe you can find out where I am from by yourself? Or maybe just don't bother.... I like all types of music, but I guess I prefer ethnic-flavoured and classical, since I play piano. If you want to ask me something, or because of any other reason, feel free to contact me at timsentim@hotmail.com.
