My story

I am nuts about Eurovision! It all started in 1993 when Ireland had won the Eurovision two years in a row, and being Irish myself thought that was great (Naturally)
My first memory of Eurovision is 1987, when our own Johnny Logan won the trophy, and didn't really watch much of it from 1987 to about 1992 when i watched bits and pieces each year. I watched it from start to finish for the first time in 1994. When we won for the third year in a row I thought it was excellent in every way as the show in 1994 was, for me, so Irish in every way, although I must admit I loved the whole orchestra, stage thing and whole buzz feeling I got from watching it. I made a video of the 1995 contest, and the rest as they say is history!! Since then i've been able to obtain every contest on video except 1956 and 1964.. So you could say i'm a bit of a fan. Recently, i've not been as impressed with all the changes in the Eurovision, but i still love it! I've yet to go to a live contest, but who knows, if the contest comes anywhere near where I live (live in england now), i'll get to it!
