My story

My first ECS was in 1977. My favourite won - France with Marie Myriam, L'oiseau et l'enfant. Followed the show through the 80\s. But it came less and less interesting.
But I really found the ESC to be revived when the "new" countries took part. Complaining about "diaspora voting", "friendly voting", "neighbour voting", "block voting" etc doesn't lead anywhere. And making the ECS a battle between "the west" and "the east" certainly leads nowhere!
