Oi oi!

The first ESC that I remember was 1987 and Johnny Logan winning for Ireland. I then watched it every year although not taking a great amount of interest in it. It was only in 1998 after recording the contest and watching it back again and again and again that I actually really started to become a fan.

I also used to live in Badalona in Catalonia, Spain and as well as English I speak Catalan, Castillian and a bit of French. I have also lived in both Mallorca and Andorra. I also understand, more or less, Portuguese. I currently live in Manchester, UK and work for an airline.

My favourite places are Barcelona, Prague, Amsterdam, Manchester, Athens, Playa del Inglés, Bratislava and Kefallonia. I really enjoy the countryside and mountains and I'm into outdoor pursuits such as caving, climbing, hill walking - anything that means you get muddy! Without a doubt the hosts in 2001 - absolutely dreadful. Whoever wrote that script should be shot.

Best ESC:
2002... just for the genius who designed the white set.

I'm quite interested in politics, especially international relations... I guess I have an idealist view of how the world should be organised... I'm certainly not a fan of pointless wars and stupid age-old arguments between different ethnic groups. Surely in Europe we've moved on from that.

The best thing about Eurovision is all the mates across Europe I've made through it from Finland down to Israel. It's a great party and I love all the camaraderie of it...

I was in Helsinki doing my very best to drum up support for Andorra, including appearing on two Finnish TV programmes... to no avail though haha... oh well!
