My story
World Song Contest
Well I remember I watched the 1986 edition of Eurovision Song Contest as, at that time, Wallonia promoted its entries and everyone wanted to see Sandra Kim's performance for Belgium. I always say this is my first ESC experiment as I don't remember if I watched previous editions or not. So I'm sure for this one, and those who have followed since then... You got it: 2008 will be my 22nd contest in a row. I don't expect my country to win again (and 2003 was a really great and unexpected surprise for me as a Belgian entry was never so closed to win since I first watched the contest), I just hope for great songs (which is not often what you get from Belgium).
This fidelity to the contest and this desire to show Belgium has several great artists were the roots of an online contest I've created 3 years ago. The World Song Contest is still running and I invite you to join it or to visit its website. Don't expect to hear Eurovision Song Contest entries there, and, for several months now, even National Final entries are forbidden (there are so many sites related to ESC where you can listen to some of the songs so one more was not necessary). But if you like music, and if you want to have an idea of the musical scenes of the participating countries outside Eurovision, then this is a place for you.
